On 5 December, Friends of the Family’s 5s to 13s Befriending Service, held its annual Christmas party at the Salvation Army Hall, Winchester, for all the children and families who are receiving support from a volunteer befriender.

The party had a circus theme with entertainment provided by Juggling Jake who showcased his circus skills before teaching the children and volunteers some tricks with scarves, diablos and juggling balls. The children then enjoyed a fabulous tea which was provided by Salvation Army volunteers. The party finished with every child receiving a present which had been purchased by the Salvation Army congregation.

Thanking the Salvation Army for their support, Befriending Manager, Sam Hunt, said: “We are so grateful to the Salvation Army as we couldn’t have done it without them. All of the children and families had a wonderful time and received fabulous gifts. We really appreciate their kindness, generosity and hard work.”
