Q boxes

A simple but significant contributor to our fundraising – the Q box is Friends of the Family’s quirky collection box.
It was designed and funded in 2009 by the late David Quayle, the ‘Q’ of B&Q – hence the name. The design is based on the figures from the original Friends of the Family logo. You may spot the boxes in and around homes and shops in Winchester.

£ 4000
Q boxes have raised over £5000 in loose change!

Do Q boxes really make a difference?

These boxes both raise awareness of Friends of the Family and collect vital funds to help us continue our work supporting children and families who are struggling. Since its introduction, the Q box scheme has raised over £5000 for the charity – all in loose change!

Give a Q box a home

Anyone can have a Q box in the home or office. Simply fill it up and then when it needs emptying, either drop it into the office or give us a call and we can arrange to collect the contents.
