Calshot Fun!

In 5 to 13 year olds, News and events

On Thursday 28th August some of the 5s to 13s children and their befrienders went to Calshot Activity Centre for the day. Both the children and adults who could come had a wonderful day experiencing the thrill of the Ringos on the dry ski slope and participating on the climbing wall. And despite having to dodge the showers they also thoroughly enjoyed completing a scavenger hunt and playing on the beach!

It was such a fantastic day out and we were so privileged to see all the children’s self-confidence grow as they tried new activities. We were also thrilled to see new friendships develop between the children as they got to know each other through the shared experiences.

Our thanks goes to the St Vincent de Paul Society for organising and funding the minibus that transported some of the children, befrienders and staff to and from the venue and we are also very grateful to them for providing a generous Tesco voucher that enabled us to purchase refreshments to keep the children fuelled for the exciting activities on offer!
