Our partners

Friends of the Family is proud to work in partnership with other local and national organisations and individuals. Without their continued support we would not be able to offer children and families the unique services that we do.

Strong working relationships

We liaise with all other family services in Winchester and its surrounding villages. Families and children are referred from: Hampshire Children’s Services, health visitors, social workers, police, GPs, mental health workers, local schools, the prison and local Children’s Centres and Home-Start. In turn we signpost our families to relevant community services.

Funders

On behalf of all the families we support, our staff, volunteers and Trustees, we would like to say a very big thank you to everyone who donates to our work. Multi-year funders and regular givers enable us to plan for and deliver our services which transform the lives of local families. Thank you!

We are also very grateful to the Winchester Quakers for their kindness and generosity, providing the office from which we work and the use of the Quaker Meeting House from which our Mums and Young Children group runs.

Corporate partners

We love working with local businesses and organisations to develop mutually beneficial partnerships. In 2023 Pangea Insurance Brokers chose Friends of the Family as one of their charity partners. Together, we applied to the Aviva Broker Community Fund and were delighted to be awarded £10,000 at their prize ceremony in London. In March 2024, Pangea sponsored and provided runners for our Friends of the Family Eastleigh 10K running team and, with plans underway for a corporate Golf Day in October, our partnership is going from strength to strength.

‘This charity’s cause resonates across all our team – put simply, everyone has a family. Many of us are lucky to have children. No matter what your family set-up, everyone experiences issues and challenges in family life at one point or another. We are fortunate – we have a network to help us through difficult times, be it family, friends, colleagues, a supportive work environment in addition to job security. I am proud to champion this cause in my business because the stories and experiences of those the charity helps strikes a chord with all of us”, Michael Piper, Director and Founder, Pangea Insurance Brokers
