Fundraise

As a small charity, our resources are limited. We continue to be grateful for the financial support of our members and the grants we receive from Trusts and Foundations. But our services need additional funds to survive and provide for the families and children who rely on them. Our ongoing fundraising programme is therefore vital, and we are always appreciative of people who fundraise on our behalf.

Resources to support you

We can offer fundraising packs to support you in your efforts. These include information leaflets as well as Friends of the Family branded goods. We are also happy to come along and speak about our work or just to lend a hand on the day.

If appropriate, we can also publicise your fundraising event on social media, via our membership and newsletter mailing lists and with local press.

Fundraising ideas in action

School Obstacle Race

In May the pupils of Jemison class at Barton Farm Primary Academy completed an obstacle race and raised an incredible £800, smashing their original target of £500. Getting outside and doing something fun for charity is a brilliant combination. Thank you Jemison class!

Musical Blues Jam

This spring St James Tavern chose Friends of the Family as their beneficiary charity for a fantastic, very entertaining, Blues Jam! Musical events and performances with audiences provide a great opportunity to raise awareness about our work.

10K Run

In March a team of 18 runners, including our staff, Trustees and a corporate partner, took part in the Eastleigh 10k Run. We even had a dinosaur! If you would like information on upcoming events that Friends of the Family are taking part in, please contact us.

Quiz Night

In May Blake Morgan LLP held their annual Family Law Quiz in aid of Friends of the Family. Attended by local law firms and barrister’s chambers, the event raised £1,200 and provided a great evening of competitive entertainment.
