Games Galore!
The 5s to 13s focus children and their befrienders had a great time on Wednesday 25th February at a Games Workshop.
There was a plethora of new and traditional games and activities for the children and adults to explore. They included, Connect 4, Jenga, Twister, Buckaroo, Kerplunk, draughts and of course Snakes and Ladders but also some new games that neither the children or adults had played before. A new favourite was a game called Left Right Centre which involves just three dice and some chocolate coins, which the winner got to eat at the end of the game; a great motivator to play!
At the end of the session the children and adults went head to head in a Chocolate themed quiz answer questions such as “What kind of chocolate might you find on your shirt?” and “Who owned the the Chocolate Factory?” and also identifying different chocolates in a blindfold taste test! I was a close call but the children succeeded in beating the adults and taking the victory!
Everyone had great fun and one child was heard to say as she was leaving “I liked coming here today, can we do it again!”
And in case you are not sure of the answers to the quiz questions mentioned above they are of course chocolate buttons and Mr Willy Wonka!
