Families enjoy Christmas Panto!
On Thursday 3rd January children, parents and volunteers from all our services were treated to a wonderful afternoon at the Theatre Royal Winchester to see the pantomime; Beauty and the Beast. Over 70 tickets were purchased and donated to the charity by a local businessman, Matthew Southay and the Theatre Royal were also very supportive by providing the tickets at a reduced price.
It was a magical afternoon full of fun and laughter with both children and adults squealing with delight at the hilarious antics of the dame, booing wildly at the wicked witch and of course joining in with the traditional responses of “He’s behind you!” and “Oh yes we can!!!!”
On his way home one little boy said “It was so funny when the beast farted and blew his chair away!!” and a father said “It was so kind of the donor to give so many children and families the opportunity to visit the theatre, I am truly grateful for the tickets.
Sam Hunt, 5s to13s Befriending Manager said “This was a fantastic opportunity for the families and children to experience the pantomime. We cannot thank Matthew enough for his kindness and generosity towards our children and their families. Everyone had a fantastic time and some wonderful memories were made that will not be forgotten in a hurry!”
