PRESS RELEASE: Friends of the Family benefits from Waitrose Christmas campaign
Local charity Friends of the Family, has received £333 from the Winchester branch of Waitrose as part of the Waitrose and John Lewis ‘Give a Little Love’ Christmas campaign. Friends of the Family is one of six local charities chosen by the Winchester store to benefit from the campaign which seeks to make a difference to local families in need.
Clodagh O’Reilly, Waitrose Partner and Community Activator presented Karen Hazlitt, Friends of the Family’s Chair of Trustees, with a giant cheque at the store on 16th December.
Karen said: “We are thrilled to be one of the six local charities chosen by Winchester Waitrose to benefit from the Give a Little Love Christmas campaign. This donation will help ensure that we can continue to provide support and friendship to vulnerable children and families across the Winchester district. I’d like to say a huge thank you to Waitrose Partner and Community Activator Clodagh O’Reilly for thinking of us and our families after a very difficult year.”
The six Winchester-based charities who will benefit from the Give a Little Love campaign are Friends of the Family, Homestart, The Salvation Army, First Bite, Vineyard Church and the Basics Bank. Each will receive a donation of £333.
