Easter Fun at the Leisure Centre!

 In Events, News and events

Our thanks go to the staff at Winchester Leisure Centre who very kindly chose Friends of the Family to benefit from the proceeds of their Easter activity morning on Wednesday 13th April.

Over a hundred local children and their families attended the three x 1hour long sessions and provided a generous donation of £340.20 for FOTF.

The fun filled morning was organised and run by Active Communities Manager, Chloe Davenna and her team of lovely ladies! The staff set up a range of activities for the children to participate in including Easter egg hunts, Easter crafts, two bouncy castles and a wonderful assortment of soft play equipment. The children were also invited to have their faces painted by a make up artist from Creative Capers and FOTF gave them the chance to win a beautiful hand knitted rabbit in a Guess the Name of the Rabbit competition. Every child also took home a goodie bag with chocolate nest cake and stickers inside at the end of their session.

Sam Hunt, who represented FOTF at the event, said “This was a brilliant morning! All the children and families had such a wonderful time and we are so grateful to Chloe and her team for choosing Friends of the Family to receive the proceeds from this event. It was a privilege to work alongside her and her team and to see the children and their families having so much fun in such an amazing environment.”
