Winchester Wellness Walk

In 5 to 13 year olds, News and events

On Wednesday 7th August Sam Hunt took some 5s to 13s focus children and their befrienders on a Wellness Walk around Winchester.
The 3k walk took in some of the wonderful sights and landmarks of the city. The children were given photographs of various points of interest to look out for as they walked including a sleeping fox in the Deans Garden, an art deco bench at the the top of St Giles Hill, a Rendog painting and of course King Alfred himself!
During the walk the children and adults shared their knowledge of Winchester and the things they could see, hear, smell and touch. At the end of the walk they used their sense of taste as well to enjoy and delicious ice cream in the Abbey Gardens!
Everyone agreed that they had enjoyed the walk and all felt better having done it!
