A Circus Christmas Party!
Families and children from 5s to13s Befriending had a wonderful Circus themed Christmas Party on Thursday 14th December. Twenty eight children, thirteen parents and fourteen befriender volunteers crammed into the Salvation Army Hall to be entertained by local entertainer Juggling Jake.
The children and adults were wowed by Jake’s tricks and juggling skills before getting some hands on experience themselves, juggling scarves, spinning plates, and balancing devil sticks and diablos. They also had the chance to test their balancing skills by walking along the 4m tight rope! The children also enjoyed a wonderful tea party and each child received a fantastic Christmas present, both of which had been generously provided by the Salvation Army congregation. Our heart felt thanks go to all those involved in the funding and organisation of the party, one parent said “Thank you to everyone involved in the party! My boys got the most amazing gifts and I’ve not seen them smile and have so much fun!”
