Thank You Volunteers!

To celebrate National Volunteers Week 2023, and in recognition for the wonderful commitment to the charity, Friends of the Family invited their amazing volunteers to participate in afternoon tea at the South Winchester Golf Club.  The volunteers, including trustees, befrienders and play workers, enjoyed the sunshine on the terrace, overlooking the 18th hole, before being served an array of delicious food including mixed sandwiches, chocolate brownies, coffee cake and of course the traditional scones with cream and jam!

Chair of the Trustees, Karen Hazlitt, said “Volunteers are the back bone of the organisation and this is our way of saying a huge thank you to the wonderful people who freely give their time and make our work possible; we could not do it with them!”
