Painting Workshop

In 5 to 13 year olds, News and events

To follow on with our current theme of Art and Wellbeing, the 5s to 13s focus children and befrienders took part in a painting workshop on Thursday 3rd November. The children and volunteers arrived to a wide selection of painting resources and a canvas each to create their masterpiece and a quietness came over the Salvation Army hall as everyone concentrated on their own ideas and creations.

When the paintings were finished the children were invited to name and talk about their paintings.

One boy said “My painting is called ‘Day and Night’, the night is creeping onto the sunny side. I don’t like the dark, it makes me frightened.”
Another girl said “I am going to call my picture ‘Underwater Escape’ as the girl is swimming underwater. She is dreaming that she is escaping from reality to a really nice house.”
